If you need heart surgery, would you rather pay a surgeon with 20 years of experience $10,000, or a surgeon with 2 years of experience $9000?  All the years (over 30 yrs. now) of dedication we have invested in developing the skills and experience required to refine a quality service required a ton of time and hard work.  Chances are you won't much remember any extra dollars you might need to travel with us, but it's a safe bet you will remember the extra care and unusual experience we will share with you.

Note: Gary Lane has nearly 30 years of river experience.

Fortunately, our trips are not as expensive as heart surgery.  In fact, the health benefit of our trips just might help prevent you from ever needing any heart surgery.

Wapiti River Guides is an equal opportunity recreaton service provider, that operates under a special-use permit granted by the USFS, Umatilla National Forest, and BLM of Vale, OR and Cottonwood, ID.

Oregon License:  Oregon Marine Board.  Permits: USFS (Umatilla /Wallowa Whitman), BLM (Vale).              

Idaho License: IOGLB (Idaho Outfitters & Guides Licensing Board) Permits: BLM (Cottonwood).

they are the same as last year

The listed prices represent the amount discounted for cash (or check) payments.  For those wishing to use their credit card, there is an additional 4% charge to the listed cash discount price.

About additional discounts:

Some are always available, but some are time sensitive.  You must call on us personally to qualify for any of them or find out what is available.

IMPORTANT CRITERIA to consider when planning your trip: scale of river difficulty, the kind of craft you travel in, experience level of the guides you travel with, and the type of amenities provided.

About Our 2008 Trip Menu:

Standard trips:  are trips that do not feature a specialty theme.  To customize your own trip, see boxes below for open date options.

Specialty trips:  specific dates delineate each specialty trip by time and river.  A specialty trip contains a basic theme that is in addition to what a stock trip provides.  Sometimes an additional charge is applicable, sometimes not.
